We got to go out to Inka's last week to visit her one last time before she heads to Germany. The kids loved picking and eating the carrots that they'd helped to plant back in May. There's nothing like fresh veggies from the garden!
Anneka got to stay overnight with Inka and just loved getting that special time with her!

Ike loved that we let him eat a raw carrot. Usually we cook them for him, as they can be a choking hazard. He has lots of teeth now, so we figured it was probably safe.
He also enjoyed feeding Papa!
We're in that time of year when our lives are filling up again with school and weekly ministries in addition to everything else. It can all feel overwhelming at times. One of our teammates reminded me that fall is a good time for re-evaluating the things we're a part of and asking God what He wants us to do- what to say yes to and what to say no to. It occurred to me that the harvest is plentiful and we are so limited! I am praying for God to raise up more people to harvest the fields here. And for wisdom to know what part of the harvest He has for us!

Cute pictures! There is nothing better than a carrot pulled right out of the ground! It is so nice that your kids have Inka to love on them since I know they must miss their grandmas so much!
Oh what fun and lots to think about. I'm sure it will be hard to have Inka gone, so glad you had the special time (especially Anneka) for this visit. I pray that God will give you clear direction on what to stay involved with and more help as you need. Blessings, Grandma Irene
