We had our annual White Party, in honor of the Buryat holiday Sagaalgaan, or "White Month". It was a good way of connecting with friends, old and new, and and sharing our lives.
This party was with friends we've made from our English Club.
We played several fun games that the kids really got into, too. I think it's special both for the kids and for everyone else to all play together.
In this game, everyone had to balance a small candy on a pencil that was connected to their ears. This was comical to watch!
The kids got a kick out of watching Leif try it. :)
We gave each person gifts that I was able to pick up while I was in the States (white travel mugs with packets of white tea and white lifesavers). Each had a special Bible verse attached for each person. Leif shared with everyone from Psalm 51 about the One who can make us whiter than snow.
It was one friend's birthday that day, too. We sang him Happy Birthday with a white cheesecake. A special time was had by all.
